Today in church Father Bill reminded us that being poor in America is equivalent to being rich almost anywhere else on Earth…and that we have much to be thankful for even in a tough economy.

With that in mind I offer the following prayer of gratitude for “One Nation under God”.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the blessing of being an American and for the hard fought victories of our forefathers.  Thank you for the privilege of living in an exceptional country with a market based economy born of a proud heritage of freedom, that fosters upward economic mobility and respect of individual property rights.  Thank you the many talents we possess that allow us to work hard, innovate & prosper.  Thank you for the blessings of the natural beauty that surrounds us and the good health to experience the splendor of your world.

And, most of all thank you for the men who wrote the United States Constitution dedicated to “One nation under God” and the “First Principles” designed to promote equality and justice for ALL men not just for those who run government.

Lord, I am & will always be eternally grateful for the strength I derive from my Christian friends and family that sustains me as I struggle to raise moral children capable of standing up for the promise & blessings of freedom in America.

Welcome to the tin cup paradise of California...located just left of utopia where unicorns poop butterflies, money grows on trees and criminals go free.

Having already embraced the Venezuela model of corruption…On October 15, 2011…El jefe Geraldo de California made clear his contempt for the Constitution by signing the anti-citizen Dream Act and Open Carry Gun Ban into law...Proving once and for all that when pot-heads and thieves run government crime really pays. These two “bald” acts of oppression by the Brown regime…put citizens squarely on notice that the State can and will do whatever it takes to secure control over the population. 

It seems we are now at that “let them eat cake” moment when the “PARTY" refuses to consider the consequences of their self dealing policies...preferring instead to simply annihilate the opposition.  The wonder IS that “they” haven’t already put up billboards proclaiming a new State motto like; YOU WORK…SO WE DON’T HAVE TO”;  “GOVERNMENT IS THE ANSWER” or simpy  “PAY UP!”.

The passage of these two anti-citizen acts signals the emergence of a Chavez styled regime oblivious to the “will of the people”.  One where “the Party” grants costly favors to “special friends” in spite of empty public coffers or citizen objections…while openly mocking any who complain by calling their cynical scheme a “DREAM’’!   

Like the “Intolerable Acts” of 1776… the “Bad-Dream" Act is an open Declaration of Oppression against anyone trying to get ahead the old fashioned way;  using hard work, discipline and academic achievement.  Instead, the Brown regime AIMS TO PUNISH all  “non-special” scholars whose only crime is to also need help paying for college.  

And, even more INTOLERABLE by far… is the Open Carry Gun Ban passed despite the State’s dangerous “catch & release” policy toward criminals.  This un-Constitutional and potentially deadly decision to disarm law abiding citizens tells us everything we need to know about our government.  A  regime so utterly corrupt that they have made sure that only cops and criminals will be armed prior to a massive court ordered prisoner release.  Any questions?

One can only hope that Californians will NOT tolerate too much more State sanctioned abuse before THEY decide to “re-occupy” the Halls of Government.

The 99%ers actually got it 1% right.  It WAS unseemly for Obama’s Wall Street backers to bonus-up on the heels of a $700 billion government bailout.  But what they missed altogether in their “SHIFT THE FOCUS CRUSADE” is that the TARP bailout actually restored investment pools  made on behalf of hard working individual savers (like their parents)  as well as  CALPERS & other mega union holdings.  Not to mention that the bailout would not have been necessary at all had Barney Frank, Chris Todd and Obama’s ACORN not insisted banks “lend” to folks with little or NO proof of income.

So rather than demand a stop to government meddling in free enterprise and  good business practices... the “99%er” simply want their fair share of the “free government money”…never mind the state run dictatorship that of necessity goes with it?

Throughout history all Marxist (collectivist) revolutions start with “useful idiots” (like the 99%ers) whose misery and ignorance is easy to manipulate with the promise of goodies provided by the sweat of someone else’s brow.  What the mob always misses in their revolutionary frenzy is the hidden hand of  despots who seek absolute control over the wealth and resources of hard working individuals. 

What’s more… young revolutionaries can always acutely feel the pain of the downtrodden but never the pain of hard working individuals who must struggle to cover the cost of their demands.  These state & union sponsored demanders will ultimately discover the true cause of their grief like all the misguided fools before them…. when it is already far too late.

A dear friend recently suffered the loss of 3 of her prize hens before she secured the flock in a coyote- proof -coop. The lost chicken incident serves as an important reminder to the rest of us…that coyotes “enjoy” chickens,  as much as politicians “enjoy” other peoples’ money.  And, that both situations tend to become chronic and costly.

How in the name of default-mageddon is racking up more debt TODAY in hopes of spending cuts TOMORROW a win for conservatives?  And, how is piling another $2.4 trillion on the backs of taxpayers not a victory for those seeking to permanently crush a strong, independent and prosperous America? 

Regardless of how the political pundits spin and crow… as of August 2, 2011 hard working taxpaying Americans know that a limited solvent government is NOT in their future.  It is far more likely that we will be permanently saddled with a malignant government that more closely resembles a grotesque Popeye the sailor-man  cartoon where Wimpy gladly promises to “pay Tuesday for a hamburger today”. 

When the final curtain closed on the debt ceiling drama… we are left with nothing less than a state sanctioned suicide pact.  One where every government giveaway is immune from budget cuts and every government bureaucrat jealously protects their personal fiefdom of victims as a means of extorting ever more cash from hard working individuals. 

We are now caught in the death grip of a suicidal government where criminal overspending is condoned because some other faceless citizen is always obliged to pick up the tab.     And, what can it be called other than a debt ceiling death wish when even a former Republican presidential candidate feels free to describe citizens critical of deficit spending as…”obstructive hobbits that need to return to their middle earth burrows” …or, when the United States Vice President concurs with a terrorist designation for  Americans who  seek limits on federal spending.  And, finally how is increasing government debt and borrowing anything other than a cowardly backdoor approach to raising taxes on the unborn?

The grand bipartisan debt ceiling compromise clearly reveals the sellout of a once prosperous nation to 80 million government dependent voters … by  an unprincipled  & “limitless” federal government that no longer even feels the need to conceal it’s contempt for individual freedoms.  In the end we will be faced with the kind of arrogant and corrupt one party rule that results when an apathetic public grows weary of the need for vigilance. The kind of government capable of demanding… either play ball with the ruling regime or suffer the financial consequences.

Humberto Leal’s infamous last words tell us everything we need to know about Big Daddy Obama’s treachery. Brutalized victims and taxpayers don’t matter when it comes to securing his power.  His now transparent goal to overwhelm the middleclass with a tsunami of dependo-cratic voters from Mexico is well underway…  complete with a rogue Dept. of Justice ready to do whatever it takes to further the cause including; invoking international law to subvert the Constitution, arming Mexican thugs to hasten the influx and suing Governors trying to uphold American sovereignty.

The question remains…If “Viva Mexico” is what these new Dems crave… why don’ t they just viva en Mexico? Why all the nostalgia for a violent and corrupt homeland?  And, why pay $3,000 each to jump the border?   Could it be that these bold newcomers are just responding to an open invitation from the ruling class to colonize middleclass voters’ wallets?

Sadly what the dependent class always misses in the grab-the-freebies game…is that the carefree easy money world they were promised doesn’t exist.  There are no freebies only money swiped from other hard working people used to purchase their complacency for a while.  All corrupt governments are the same.  If Mexico is what they want they will surely get it in end.  Humberto is just the beginning of the birth pains of a government sanctioned monster.

The last time my head exploded we were with my Mom (a retired PE teacher) at the mall when she announced that “Republicans only care about the rich”.  One of my kids actually had the presence of mind to ask what she thought about RICH athletes?

The flawless beauty of class warfare (like race warfare) is that the accusation is impossible to disprove.  A politician can do nothing but “keep giving away the store” to prove they CARE as much for the POOR as the RICH… which explains a lot about why Republicans allowed Democrats to drive America into a deficit ditch. Given the specious nature of class warfare the best defense is to simply call their bluff and surrender the "rich".

Here’s how it works...the next time someone calls for “taxing the RICH”… instead of detonating give them a hardy handshake and your enthusiastic support…then sit back & enjoy the circus that follows!  If we can all agree that CEOs get rich by cheating everyone… and  that unions, trial lawyers, bureaucrats and Democrat politicians exist to protect the “little guy” from “greedy business executives”.  Then we can also agree to end the exploitation by imposing an Excessive Wealth Tax (EWT) on the rich.

From now on Republicans no longer care about the “rich”.  Further, we wholeheartedly agree that high priced CEOs are NOT worth the money. And, that they ARE ripping off the rest of us by not  paying their fair share of taxes. Why should Bill Gates, Opra Winfrey, J.K. Rowling, Meg Whitman,  Michael Bloomberg, Larry Elison, Amancio Ortega, Warren Buffet, Steve Jobs, or Peter Thiel  “get to sit on all that money while hard working Americans loose their homes”?  Furthermore, we can all agree that billionaires should be paying a lot more to help support government poverty programs.

Okay… the question remains how much more?  For the sake of discussion, lets say greedy billionaires make a total of $500 billion/year  (it’s actually less but close enough for government work) so let’s just take the entire $500 billion/year and apply it to the $3.4 trillion the federal budget.

That still leaves $2.9 trillion/yr due from taxpayers to cover federal  operations.  In which case we'll need the next one million “rich” households (with investible assets of $5 million or more) under the tax-bus with the greedy billionaires! That group will likely include plenty of “rich” actors, lawyers, film makers, doctors, politicians, musicians, athletes,  team owners, hedge fund managers, media personalities and entrepreneurs who can certainly pay more.  To be FAIR…Republicans agree to EWT tax 100% of every dime they make over $250,000 which is how President Obama defines rich. 

Just imagine the thunderous “tax-stampede” out of America once Republicans surrender the “rich”. And, how long it will take for the "rich F-O-Bs” (friends-of-Barack) to demand special “EWT Waivers”? Or, until the DNC “campaign-contribution-shakedown-machine” goes bust?  It won’t be long before “greedy” Democrat sympathizers realize that the Republicans have withdrawn their “tax cover” & that Democrat “class warriors” must make good on their “tax-the-rich” rhetoric.

When that magical day arrives… I predict an immediate class warfare truce, a vibrant growing economy and a perfectly balanced federal budget.  I also predict a landslide victory for Republicans who uphold EVERYONE’S right to keep their own results NOT just those who can afford political protection. And, most importantly I predict that Americans will learn to embrace the power of capitalism by realizing that class warfare only serves to damage everyone’s shot at prosperity.

To the graduating class of 2011….Congratulations on your success!  You have toiled,  studied and overcome numerous challenges to finally cross the finish line.  You are NOW free to examine what you were really taught in school?   For example:  Did you learn that the ability to ace a test does not teach you to be moral or even wise.  Or, that your name on a college diploma will not protect you from tyranny.  

Did your instructors explain that you're not free when the government can tax & spend your children’s earnings before they are born?  Or, that the American Revolution was won by bare footed farm boys willing to die for the right to keep the fruits of their labor to support their own lives.    Did they teach that the “rule of law” set forth in our founding documents is what makes America exceptional?  Or, that every homicidal dictator like Mao, Hitler, Stalin and Che Gevara used class warfare to deceive & dominate not help the people?  

Did your text books cover how communism fails every time it is tried because it is against God’s laws and human nature?  Or, that capitalism not socialism improves mankind by unleashing man’s innate drive to achieve.  Were you ever taught that healthcare is an individual responsibility not a God given right or government obligation? And, that a 2,000 page law guaranteeing affordable care and patient protection will do the opposite.  

When did you learn that the decision to have a child is a private choice and personal not government responsibility?  Or, that climate change is a natural phenomenon, not a justification for taxing fossil fuels. Did a public school teacher explain that a government that grants itself special treatment at the expense of individual taxpayers is a dictatorship?  How many instructors  asked you to consider the role of God and the clergy in the birth of our nation?  Or, that what 19^th Century philosophers found so remarkable about the American Republic was the goodness of the American people themselves.    If not…ask yourself why?

Of one thing I am certain... that there are many fine young men and women in this year’s graduating class who will achieve unimaginable feats…But, above all other accomplishments….I pray there are as many clear-eyed patriots among you who recognize the peril we face as a nation.  And, that God might grant those of you willing to stand against tyranny the strength and the wisdom to prevail.
